Medieval handsaw... compromise is necessary...

Now this is one of the situation where I do curse LEGO for a bit of limitness in their stock. When one needs to have some handsaws for some lumbermen, where is he/she to look at? In particular, considering the type of very rudimentary tools in use during those centuries (see samples)...

Although, recently some sort of modern saws have been introduced (link), I always wonder what it takes to make something a bit more "agey" for the Castle theme.

It goes without saying this is not the most pressing and other items like minifig-grabbable horse-irons (who cares if out of scale?), some one-piece plow, and blacksmith soufflets would be much more urgent to have (given how difficult they are to custom create).

Anyhow, here is the only compromise I could find so far: the ingenious part is represented by the handles, while the blade is basically a cartoonesque sticker on a tile (zoom-in below).

One quick industrial solution for LEGO could be simply recycling the already existing handsaw linked above and add a second time on the other hand the very same handle :).
